This rural route followed the peaceful valleys of the Anton and the Test and once formed part of a line between the Midlands and the South Coast, having a service between Cheltenham and Southampton for many years. Affectionately known as the “Sprat & Winkle”, the railway is illustrated with photographs from all periods.
