Description
A profusely illustrated history and description of the Hampshire branch line which ran from Botley to Bishops Waltham. This railway was opened in 1863 and closed to passenger transport in 1932. From this time a goods service was run until 1962 when the railway service ended and the line was dismantled. Soon afterwards, in 1965, the Bishops Waltham Station, a notable local landmark, was also destroyed.
