Description
This section of the East Coast Main Line abounds with railway interest. There was a vast number of junctions, and several graceful viaducts, together with both rural and urban stations. Most of the former have vanished, but are shown in detail herein. At each end of the line was a locomotive works built by the firm founded by Robert Stephenson.
