This book is a photographic review of the different types of train working through the area. Separate chapters cover passenger and freight workings, excursion traffic and day-to-day general duties such as shunting and light engine working. The final chapter looks at unusual or rare visitors. All chapters are supported by timetables, schedules and excursion listings. There is also an appendix showing a 24-hour view of the working timetable at Grimsby Town in 1958.
