This quaint backwater was visited by few, as it had only two trains a day in its final 18 years, the service being withdrawn by the LMS in 1947. Freight traffic from Harpenden continued over part of the route until 1979, thus the photographic coverage is extensive. Every detail is comprehensively illustrated.
