It list details of every National Coal Board locomotive used in the South Yorkshire coalfield which was one of the largest in England. Major sites were at Askern, Manvers, Wath, Barnsley, Doncaster, Bentley, Hatfield, Thorne, New Stubbin, Yorkshire Main and Smithywood plus numerous other locations.
